Description

A relaxing day of joyful singing, with the emphasis on quick rewards and maximum fun. Perfect for anyone who wants to sing – whether you think you can or not! Come along with a friend, a relative or on your own… and sing your socks off! If you have a favourite short, easy Singing for Larks song you’d like to sing again, let me know before the workshop and I’ll try to include it.

TIMETABLE: The workshop will start promptly at 10.30 am – you’re welcome to arrive anytime after 10.00 am. To help keep our energy up during the day, there will be a refreshments break in the morning, a break for lunch around 1.00 pm and probably a short break in the afternoon. We’ll finish at 4.00 pm.

REFRESHMENTS: Hot drinks, biscuits and fruit will be available, free of charge, at the beginning of the day and during all the breaks. Tap water will be available throughout the day. You’re invited to bring a small amount of food to share for lunch, creating an instant feast between us. However, if you prefer to cater for yourself separately, that’s fine.

VENUE: This workshop will be held in the Quaker Meeting House in the popular Clarendon Park area of Leicester. It provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere to a whole range of groups. We shall be singing in the large meeting room, which looks out onto a small, private garden. Access: This venue is accessible to disabled people.

LOCATION: The meeting house is a 15 minute drive from the M1 and M69 and about a 20 minute walk from Leicester Railway Station. Perfect for a browse around some independent shops or cafes nearby after the workshop… or a 30 minute walk to Leicester City Centre and the King Richard III visitor centre.
