Description

This song has a melody and a three-part backing, which is rhythmical in the choruses and has long held ’ah’s in the two verses. Some groups will pick it up quite easily, but some will take some time getting used to the contrasting rhythms, the close harmonies and the transitions between verses and choruses, so I’ve categorised the song as: Moderate.

I’ve been lucky enough to lead the singing on quite a few singing holiday tours. This song was inspired by that excited, yet slightly nervous, feeling of anticipation before moving to the next destination. I wanted the song to feel as if it was, like a tour, alternating between moving along (choruses) and pausing at a destination (verses).
